CARMEN HURTADO

Visual Artist and Poet. Cáceres.

Carmen Hurtado Pérez (Cáceres) combines poetry and visual arts to create a unique language that merges the visual and the poetic. Her work includes painting, drawing, and photography, using techniques such as assemblage, embroidery, and the three-dimensionality of materials.

Her projects are inspired by literary and artistic references, as well as her diaries, which serve as a starting point to reflect on existence and the human condition.

She has been exhibiting in galleries, fairs, and museums since 2000. Since 2017, she has been developing a publishing project, HU editions, producing limited-edition hybrid-format publications.
